About Us

Jack and Jill Pre-school was started in 1978 and is an established part of the community in Chinnor. Our current building was opened in 1992 and provides safe and stimulating learning environments inside and outside. We plan all our activities in accordance with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Every child in our care is supported by a key person who understands his or her individual needs and offers special care and support to them.

We are led by our core values and principles:

• We build positive and trusting relationships with parents and carers; working in partnership to help children achieve their full potential.

• We create stimulating indoor and outdoor play spaces with a sensible balance of free and structured activities that encourage creativity, exploration, discovery and independence. 

• We allow children to develop at their own pace and we make sure to build on what they already know and understand.

• We encourage children to express themselves confidently and to find their own voice. 

• We offer children opportunities to develop skills, attitudes and experiences which will enrich their future learning.
