Pre-school Curriculum

Jack & Jill Pre-school deliver the educational programme of the Foundation Stage. This information is readily available at

pre-school, as are all our OFSTED inspection reports, which can be requested at any time or viewed on the website at

www.ofsted.co.uk

The learning which goes on in Pre-school forms the essential basis for later studies in school and beyond. Children in Preschool learn:

*To develop social skills

* To express themselves through a large variety of creative artwork and imaginative role play

* To use language to communicate with adults and other children

* To listen and respond as part of a group

* To experience stories, poems and music

* To recognise the use of print to carry information, stories and ideas

* To compare objects/materials and to make predictions about them based on experience

* To create and recognise patterns and sequences

* To understand simple ideas of length, weight and volume
